A dramatic video shows the moment a huge chunk of rock collapses from a cliff-face at a beauty spot – narrowly avoiding two walkers.

The rock fell away from the edge of a cliff in Tregudda Gorge, between Trevone Bay and Padstow in Cornwall.

Two walkers, who were just metres away, had a lucky escape as the cliff crumbles into the sea ahead of them.

The footage shows a few small bits of rock and some chalky dust falling off the cliff-face.

Within seconds a huge chunk of the cliff – including some grass along the top – comes away.

Two walkers can also been seen walking along the top of the cliff in the video, and are unaware about what is happening ahead of them.

As the rock collapses from the cliff-face it crumbles and turns to dust as it falls.

The land manager at the historical country house Prideaux Place, in Padstow, took the video.

It was shared on their Facebook page to warn walkers in the area to be careful of their surroundings.

They wrote: ‘This is one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of the coast on the Prideaux-Brune Estate, and is a special favourite with the family.
